Vulcan has the largest JORC lithium resource in Europe with 15.85m tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent in a geothermal brine at 181mg per litre of lithium. The project is located in the Upper Rhine Valley in Germany.
The company is planning an adsorbent-type Direct Lithium Extraction plant and recoveries of over 90% lithium chloride are expected. An ongoing piloting demonstration plant is planned for the next six months.
